Vivianne Flintoff is an avid reader, traveller and walker. She was raised in Fiji and later attended the University of Waikato (NZ) where she completed a Master of Counselling and Graduate Certificate of Supervision (counselling). She has published in professional journals and in Walking New Zealand. Vivianne has worked as a school guidance counsellor, manager of a social service agency, clinical leader of a multi-site agency, and counsellor-educator at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Vivianne lived and worked in Hamilton New Zealand for 29 years. She now lives in Coromandel town on the remote Coromandel Peninsula. She has three married sons and six grandchildren.
